What level are the workshops?
Most workshops (unless stated) are designed for complete beginners to confident hobby artists.
I guide you step-by-step, so no experience is needed at all.
If you already draw, you’ll still learn new pastel techniques and ways to improve your work.

Do I need to be able to draw?
No — not at all!
Every workshop is fully guided, and I provide the reference image, board, pastels and the outline to help you get started.
Plenty of people come who have never drawn before.

What should I bring?
Just yourself!
All materials, pastels, boards and reference photos are provided.
Optional extras you might like to bring:
A drink or bottle of water (hot drinks and biscuits/cake provided)
An apron (pastels can be dusty)
Glasses if you need them
A snack
Everything else is taken care of, and your workstation will be fully set up.

Where are the workshops held?
Workshops run in different village halls and venues across Shropshire (and sometimes beyond).
The venue address for your chosen workshop is clearly shown on the individual workshop page and in your confirmation email.

What time should I arrive?
Please arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in and get comfortable before we begin.
Workshops start promptly.

Can children attend?
Workshops are suitable for ages 12 and over, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
The adult does not need to book a place if they are only sitting in for support — they’re welcome to stay at no extra cost.

Is everything provided?
Yes — everything is included in the workshop price.
There are no hidden extras and you don’t need to bring or buy anything beforehand.

Will I be able to finish the picture?
Yes — the workshops are designed so you leave with a completed artwork you’ll be proud of.
I guide you through each stage at a comfortable, achievable pace.

Do you offer private workshops or group sessions?
Yes — I offer private one-to-one sessions and group workshops for small businesses, art clubs and events.

What is your cancellation & transfer policy?
More than 14 days’ notice:
Full refund or free transfer (must be used within 6 months).
14 days to 3 days’ notice:
One transfer allowed, no refund (transfer must be used within 6 months).
Less than 3 days’ notice or no-show:
Booking is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Additional notes:
Transfers apply only to the unused seat.
You can transfer into any workshop with available space within 6 months.
If I postpone a workshop, you may choose a refund or transfer with no time limit.
